It is not easy to alater the Tattoo Picture or Design. Get wider selection of pictures, take your time to select picture of your liking.
Get to know skill level of the artist that you’ll be working with BEFORE you get inked! Look for his references, and go through the artwork he has inked before.
I really mean it, you need to know how good (or bad) the artist you’re hiring is...
